Let’s break it down into sections
-
Getting ready
The time before your ceremony is not all about make-up and snazzy hair-dos. I’m there to capture the build-up; the crescendo of excitement - and possibly nerves - as they bounce around the room like freshly-released butterflies!
I relish in photographing this part of the day and while I love soaking up these emotions, I [according to past couples] apparently offer a calmness in return.
-
Ceremony
From ceremonies in the Houses of Parliament or St Paul’s Cathedral, to a wooden boathouse on a New Zealand riverside, ceremonies each have their very own beauty. Ultimately, it’s all about the couple - and guests - and the connections between them.
The party may come later, and some nerves may have fluttered around before. But for now, glide down the aisle. It’ll pass quickly, but thankfully your photographs will last.
-
Post-ceremony / speeches
Let the hugs, bubbles & tears flow! I LOVE to capture emotion. That of individual moments, but also I look to harness the emotional wave of feelings as we walk along the timeline of your day.
Life is ALL about people (and maybe dogs, too!). View these photographs & think about the connections between people. What connections can you see? Relationships make our world go round!
-
Evening / party-time
By now you and your guests know how your ceremony went…they were there, you were there. After all the build-up, it’s now in the past.
But we’re still here! With music pumping, it’s time to party, celebrate, dance, hug, laugh…do it all! Throw on your dancing shoes and bust some moves. I’ll be there with my cameras until sometime after your first dance, making sure I capture the dance-floor atmosphere & joy!
-
Portrait & Couple Shots
Filled to the brim with adrenaline and love, you’ve just got married and you’re buzzing! Let’s capture these feelings. Look back on these photographs and be reminded of how you were feeling during those moments. It’s all wonderful!!
We won’t take too long - you have your guests to enjoy - but this time can also be a moment of calm and reflection.
-
Group shots
Photographs with your family & friends are always fun! So often it’s the moments between arranging the shots that makes the shot! This period needn’t be stiff and boring. There’s still energy, spontaneity, laughter and hugs! I won’t let the family/group shots dampen any atmosphere….carry the joy on throughout!
We’d make a list before your day, to make sure we get all the groups you’d like. It’s fun!
